Schedule has nothing to do with "fear" and everything to do with $$$ and risk. Simple economics. More home games = more $$$ for UF. OOC scheduling is largely irrelevant when you play in the SEC. As long as the SEC maintains it's prestige as the nation's best CFB conference, why would any AD with a brain expose their team to more unnecessary risk, and lose money doing it? Just so they can make fans of other schools happy at the expense of upsetting UF boosters and alum by giving them less home games to attend?
College football is a business. Why would any business be willing to accept less revenue for taking on more risk? And don't confuse "fear" with "risk." They are very different terms. I don't think any program in the SEC is afraid to play anyone. However, I think any reasonable AD would prefer not to take on more risk by playing higher ranked OOC teams away from home if they don't have to in order to compete for a national championship.
So if the current model for setting our schedule is enough to earn us a spot in a national championship, provided we win enough games, why change it? You know the saying.. if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Pretty simple, really.
And frankly, I don't see why LSU fans are so concerned about other SEC teams' schedules. Whining about it just proves you are jealous and don't get it. Don't you want every SEC team to win as many games as possible before/after you play them? Who cares who and where Alabama and Florida play outside of the SEC? If you beat them, you're probably playing for a national championship. Sounds like a pretty sweet deal to me.
How do LSU fans not understand this concept? After what happened in 2007, they of all people should understand just how little OOC games matter when you play in the SEC.

I mostly do it for the entertainment of hearing LSU fans whine over everything from Saban to schedules to weather to officials to the location of the SEC office to other fanbases, on and on and on

Does location matter?
LSU:
TCU - Arlington, TX
UAB - Baton Rouge
Kent State - Baton Rouge
Furman - Baton Rouge
or
UF:
Miami - Miami, FL
FSU - Gainesville
Toledo - Gainesville
Ga. Southern - Gainesville
Is Florida's schedule easier because the games are all played in the state of Florida?

The answer is simple...last time they left to play Syracuse, they got whooped

there is no simplifying it...Florida just doesn't go on the road OOC
LSU has played numerous PAC 12 foes. Arkansas and Auburn both played USC several years ago. Alabama usually has a tough OOC opponent to compensate for their lax SEC schedule. But Florida? they just don't go on the road...they are scarred from that whooping Syracuse gave them way back when

This is getting old. First off we go on the road, just not out of state. Secondly, you dismiss the FSU and Miami games so easily. I guess you want us to play the SEC schedule, FSU, Miami plus some major BCS school on the road? Is that what you are suggesting, does LSU schedule similarly?
