Indiana schedule is a joke and they aren't being penalized for that

Because he is an angry a-hole trying to distract from his team not being near as good as last year.

Until I read the rest of this sentence, I thought you might be talking about Sankey.

Because he’s taking up for his conference like every coach does.SEC coaches do the same.

Yes, but they are much less concerned with their conference and much more concerned with the perception of their conference to an end that best suits them individually.

Exactly. He's coaching the defending national champions and it isn't like the SEC has seemed like an unstoppable juggernaut against elite competition of late.
It will get sorted out, one way or the other, once the playoffs start. Even though the best teams in the SEC have looked shaky at times I want Indiana to make the playoffs and an SEC team to beat them.

He's politicking for his conference and his own team just in case he drops another game before the playoff selection. Most coaches do this.

I think the CFPC sent a pretty strong message that who you play counts, and for better or worse Sankey has us all playing tough schedules. The Big 10 does not like their traditional plan of playing, at most, two hard games a year and no tough out of conference games (Indiana, that is. OSU played Texas). Cignetti does not want to have to face an SEC likes schedule year in and year out.
