Why is Bama vs. UT such a big rivalry?

I understand Bama vs. Auburn and UGA vs Auburn but not this one.

I think it's because it's the "biggest tradition." I thought that was what Auburn and Georgia fans said about their game, but I must have been mistaken with what that generic line means.
