Both programs are historically top 15. AU is around 13th. Bama is somewhere in the top 5.
AU had cut the overall series deficit to 5 games by the end of the 2007 season. Since then, Bama is 4-2 against AU and has extended the lead to 7 games.
Bama has more than 100 more all-time wins than AU.
Bama has appeared in 23 more bowl games than AU.
Bama has 11 more bowl victories than AU.
Bama has 23 SEC titles. AU has 8.
Bama has 35 10+ win seasons. AU has 13.
Bama has won 10+ games for 6 consecutive seasons. AU hasn't won 10+ in back-to-back seasons since 1988 & 1989.

Is there an opponent that Bama doesn't have a winning record against that they face fairly regularly? Curious, because I know LSU and AU don't and I'm guessing the rest of the West division doesn't as well. Maybe Florida?
(I don't has Bama knowledge but this thought just popped up to me)

I guess we play Mizzou concomitantly now (not really), but no I dont think there is anyone we have played concomitantly in the last 50 years that has us.
ND, Texas, and PSU maybe.

You have a 7 game lead after 78 games...and its shrinking.

In the last 6 seasons the deficit AU faces has GROWN by 2 games due to Bama being 4-2 against you.
