So how far down on the totem pole are you in your family? You spurned your family's legendary Michigan status for a state school that you've trashed.

Damn your mad son.

Just a little heads up, when you get personal with someone else because they have upset you with something they have said, you lose.

Oh and the cut out as an example of "lil bro"? It has everything to do with that return probably being the greatest play in college football.

Its a feeble attempt to downplay the significance of that moment in IB history.

ITs nothing more than a fun thing for recruits to do during this single offseason. They act like its a fixture on the side of the stadium or something.

No more significant than the two beatdowns that proceeded it.

Did we make a little cut out, or paint all the TD's on the field?

frick, that would be a lot of paint.

I will hand it to you. With the amount of selfing you have done in this thread, you have stuck around. Well done. Most would have taken a day off or so.

Serious downplay.

You do realize that was the grounds crew having fun for a day and it was not on the field at A-Day and is not on the field now.

You used this once before but I wasn't sure if it was a typo. Can you define it for me?

The cut out is an homage to maybe the greatest play in college football history that just happened to be in the greatest iron bowl.

If anyone is downplaying anything in this case it would be you trying to say the beatdowns didnt matter. No IB is any more significant than any other. That's what makes it such a good rivalry game.

All trolling aside, AU has closed the gap on the series over the last 30 years....most of which was during an uncharachteristic rough patch in the history of Bama football. On the national stage, there really is no comparison. Bama has wone more titles in the last five years than AU in its existence and national titles are what counts. Bama is considered college football royalty along with the likes of Notre Dame, USC, Michigan, Texas, etc. AU will never surpass Bama in national prestige regardless of the IB record or recent SEC titles becuase that is meaningless to the rest of the country.

Off the field, Bama is pulling away from AU academically. Sidewalks fans aside, this is undeniable. The state aristocracy has and will continue to be all Bama. AU had a nice run in the early 2000's but that all came to a screeching halt when Saban arrived. Just as Dye and AU made their move when Bryant retired, Saban came in and the natural order was restored.

Link?

I have made no mention to those two games.

I guess Van Tiffins FG was just a FG.
