Not been fired? Judging from statements made by LSU fans toward the end of the season his departure was highly desired. I am very curious what reason Les and Alleva have for not nipping that in the bud? I have heard it's because he was given a raise DURING the season. Is this true?

Not during...he was given a multi year extension last year. The buyout this year would be around 1 million.

Please don't remind us. The whole offensive staff should have been overhauled just like the defense was the year before.

Chavis was given a 250K raise and Crowton was retained, because the administration didn't trust Miles to make any more decisions regarding the direction of the program.

Changing all of your coaches on one side of the ball one year, then coming back and doing the same on the other side of the ball the next, in conjunction with his lack of clock management skills, would have been the definition of insanity.

Sink or swim. No floaties this time.

Crowton is not the problem, the idiot at the head coaching spot is the problem. Crowton's offense was great with a lot of looks when he first got there and the last few years it has slowly gotten worse.

There is a chance it has gotten worse just because of the youth and lack of depth at the QB and OL postitions.

2008 - RP screwed us
2009 - some bust in OL recruiting and underachievement on the line hurt real bad

It might be all Crowton's fault, but we will fund out for sure this season. If it is as dynamic as 2007 all will be well.

I'll admit I haven't checked his previous work but when he first got to LSU I liked his offenses they looked great. I attributed it to the nut at the helm of that program, Miles is to LSU as Fran was to ATM.
