It definitely needs to rotate!

Augusta National is great. Been 4 times but that town sucks and is worse per capita than most.
Trying to clown on Memphis while acting like ATL isn’t one of the worst crime cities in America is laughable. Buckhead is wanting their own police force, can’t park a car at the airport, have a chance to get shot anywhere not just in the bad neighborhoods
Your entire state has turned the socialist way not just ATL which is a whole other can of worms that makes Memphis politics not look bad
You will be ok guy

People in Memphis collectively aren't checking for SEC basketball like that.
The thing is there are a decent amount of SEC alumni in Memphis. If you hold the SEC T in Memphis you have
Ole Miss 1.5hr
MSU 2.5hr
Vanderbilt 3hr
Alabama 3.5hr
Arkansas 4.5hr (plus large fan base in LR 2hr)
Tennessee 5.5hr
LSU 5.5hr
Mizzou 5.5hr
Kentucky 6hr
More than half the conference is located within a 6hr drive
For me, I could easily leave on a Thursday morning, make a 4-5 hour drive up I55 and catch the game if LSU played in the evening session.
I’m not driving 8-9 hours to stay for to stay for 1-2 nights if they go home early. Nor would I book a flight if they have a good team when I would turn around and maybe fly somewhere the following weekend for the 1st and 2nd rd

No, just no.
Buckhead was a once trendy location that is no longer trendy. That’s a neighborhood in a MSA of 7 million people. That Phipps and Lenox are no longer “in” is not an indictment on a city. They aren’t adding 200k ft2 of condo space a month to the larger CBD because Atlanta is a war zone. In fact quite the opposite. There are 3 major universities in DT Atlanta. Delta, Coke, HD, Newell Rubbermaid, GP, UPS, Waffle House, the CDC, southern co, Norfolk Southern, Equifax, CFA, AGCO, Porche NA, Mercedes NA, 4 pro sports teams, the tour championship at Eastlake and Hartsfield all call ATL home. It ain’t NOLA or Memphis.

Football? No. Basketball, absolutely.
You obviously have no idea (or just hated them so you won't admit) of the impact the Fab 5 had on basketball, and just the culture in general. They didn't even win a championship and they're still arguably the most famous team in college basketball history.
Duke and Carolina have fans EVERYWHERE, same as Bama in football. Certainly more fans than any SEC basketball team not named Kentucky...

If we're all being honest, how many people attend the SEC basketball tournament is dependent on how long Kentucky lasts. It's always been that way.
Thank you!! Fans love their individual teams, no doubt. But acting like SEC basketball teams other than KY have these cult followings is not accurate.

Lived in Memphis most of my life. Have never met a UNC, Michigan, etc fan once outside a handful who actually went to school those places. I stand by what I said.
