According to USA Today, Auburn has more fans than Alabama.

Alabama is the state school and has experienced a bit more success. That gives us a higher percentage of "sidewalk fans" - that don't have any affiliation to the school - but want to pull for a winning program. Auburn's "sidewalk" fanbase is a bit smaller (although there are PLENTY).
Currently, Alabama also has a larger student population by several thousand, and that number is going to increase.

And what do you think the ratio is in the state? 70-30 Bama?
65/35

It seems UA is more attractive to the sidewalk fan who has no affiliation with either university.

Well, this is the state of Alabama. The University of Alabama football team is going to have more fans than Auburn, what with its success and the Bear and all that shite.

1. State-named school
2. More Championships
3. Trailer park fanboyz
4. Violence and threats
(Oh, and I would say anywhere from 70-30 to 67-33 is accurate.)

In the state of alabama:
year bama is better= 70/30
year auburn is better= 70/30
Nope.
Years Auburn is better probably the best we can get is around 40%.
And I like it better that way.

Yeah... I wish those goobs would just decide that they are UGA or Tenn fans and leave us the hell alone.

I would guess as much as 15% are swingers that jumped on The recent Saban train
50% BAMA
35 % AU
15 % SWINGERS
50% BAMA
35 % AU
15 % SWINGERS

Don't forget that Alabama doesn't have a professional football team. Just by being named U Alabama they are the football representation of the state. I can't tell you how many humps from Opelika whose livelihood rely on AU have talked shite about AU then tell me they aren't AU fans because they are from "Alabama" not Auburn. Literally minutes from Auburn township

Because we are a racist, plantation society that cries over trees and have a little brother mentality.
That turns most strong willed ppl in the state to the great university of the state of Alabama.

Because Alabama had the first regional/national success. It's the state university. That fandom was handed down through the generations.
It's most likely 70-75% pro-UA in the state of Alabama.
