So does UGA.
And probably most SEC schools. UGA has students from 128 different countries.

Its a back up school for those who didn't get into UGA.
You should have just said that in the OP instead of this thinly veiled round about way of creating the thread.

They've gotten a bit more lax since I enrolled in 2010, but it still requires a 27 to get a little bit of money. A 30-31 and 3.5 GPA to get 2/3rds.

I don't think Bama is doing anything shady, but I think attributing these kind of sustained numbers to the beauty of the campus, the greek life and the football team is a little naive (not saying you did it). I think these numbers show some kind of administrative preference or system that it's in place.
Exactly. They have moved recruiters from in-state efforts (because they aren't needed) to other locations in the Southeast.

They sent acceptance letters to my entire graduating class (atlanta private school) whether you applied or not.
Anyone over 24 ACT got scholarship offers whether you applied or not...

No he's not. His freshmen year was 2010 & received it from the English Department

Those are all things that boost out of state enrollment. We have the largest sorority recruitment in the country.
Majority of the freshmen resident halls have all been built within the last 10 years and are ridiculous. My dorm for example had 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room, and a kitchen.

Saban can recruit the whole country like it's in-state

They are actually pretty low and send out pieces that basically indicate a prospective applicant would be able to get tuition/fee waivers assuming they are admitted. So the student who meets their qualifications applies. This includes a bunch of OOS students.
Then they deny them admission. Looks good for the rankings to have diverse-locale student body with a higher rejection ratio. Of course, those that are on the right side of the bell-curve get in and they see a lot of students (just like LSU and other SEC-W schools) from the 11-20% in Texas

Yep. They'll send you "something" indicating you may be eligible.

What is the typical test score and GPA an entering freshman would need to have in order to be considered for scholarships?
Generally for scholarship consideration, an entering freshman with an ACT of 24 or SAT of 1090 (critical reading and math) and a cumulative 3.0 GPA will be reviewed.

The football team may have given it a slight bump in 2008-2010, but it's not like the campus suddenly became beautiful in the last 5 years or greek life suddenly started booming in the last 5 years. Think about it.

Actually that is right around the time majority of the new residence halls started opening, the new ridiculous fraternity houses along univeristy blvd. started getting built, Shelby Hall which is one of the nicest science buildings in the nation opened a few years before that, and the football team just started their path of destruction.

The largest departmental scholarship that English offers is $5000 a year, not even close to the "practically a full ride," especially for out of state tuition. All of those scholarships are for juniors or seniors only (so two years max), unless your friend is African American.
You're full of shite, but are going to claim that "it was like that in 2010" I'm sure

UA started aggressively expanding and recruiting out of state under president Witt in 2004-- before Nick Saban.

Yeah no school is going to send unsolicited acceptance letters and boost their acceptance rates unnecessarily. So dumb
