He's past the point of having to impress anyone, it's solely a matter of how much he cares about it. Clearly, he doesn't think it's worth spending tons of time and money on... just get things cut short, comb it, shave.

Kirby is too busy coaching and recruiting to give much thought to his hairdo. And he doesn’t give a damn what jealous people say about his look. It looks fine.
Thank Gawd he doesn’t look like that fat fella at UT. No one even notices his hair as they are too busy marveling that a guy that obese can even make it onto the field without a motorized cart

I couldn't care less about haircuts. It amazes me that some LSU fans are more worried about Kirby's haircut than their 50-30 loss to us. It is what it is, I guess.

A lot of it has to do with head shape. He's got a melon head that's shorter and wider than most. No matter how he styles his hair it will still look like an eight year old's haircut from 1977.
