This makes ALL the sense in the world. The problem is the states, kentuckys, vandys of the world sometimes need 4 ooc games to get bowl eligible plus they lose 2 home games.

It makes more sense than 9 as its an even number. An odd number of conference games is a recipe for unfairness.

While an even # makes sense, there are 4 teams who won't to be able to schedule anybody else.

I showed that you can have everyone's in-state rival in the conference except for UK - kick Mizzou out. I say kick out Vandy as well.

Forgetting that Vandy is Tenn.'s IN-STATE RIVAL?

For fan value, yes. But, with permanent OOC P5 rivals it would be limiting and stands to hurt more than it helps with the extra conference losses overall.

I'm fine with 8 for now, as it increases bargaining power with future TV deals.

I would much rather they keep divisional alignment if it remains at 8, but move Bama and AU east and Mizzou, OU and UTx to the west.

Sec CG could be the two highest ranked teams in the CFP poll prior to the SEC CG, but the alignment would best preserve the oldest rivalries.
