east TN is superior to the Atlanta metro by every meaningful metric. The Knoxville metro has less crime, better public schools, better politicians (and we despite the mayor of Knoxville as an out of place liberal but at least she’s competent just misguided), taxes, etc.
When the country Balkanizes I want the northern areas above 575, part of northern SC, western NC and WV to join east tn in the state of Franklin part of the Appalachian republic.
Jesus Christ.

People love shitting on Atlanta on here and it's usually someone from either a shitty part of GA or some hellhole like Baton Rouge or NOLA
In my experience with people who shite on Atlanta, I’ve found those to be people who’ve never really been to Atlanta. They might have passed through on their way to Panama City, or have an aunt who they visited in Loganville, and they think that’s Atlanta.
People who’ve spent time in Atlanta and enjoyed the bars, restaurants, venues, etc. that the city has to offer know it’s a first-class city. It has become a big city with some of the usual issues that entails, but Atlanta is a great place to visit and do business. Those who say otherwise just don’t know what they’re talking about. There’s a reason Atlanta gets the championship games, tournaments, etc. The people who choose the city aren’t stupid.

Which is why all the major corporations like Home Depot, Delta, Coca Cola, UPS, and Equifax are all headquartered in Knoxville. It's why the 1996 Olympic Games picked Knoxville. I mean, the world's busiest airport is in Knoxville. Just look at all of the major movie studios moving there.
Wait...

Exactly.
I understand when someone would rather live in a small town like Knoxville or Nashville. Big cities aren't for everyone. I like having the airport only 20-minutes from my house. I can go anywhere anytime. If you live in Nashville or Knoxville, you've got to go through Atlanta to get anywhere.

This might be the stupidest post I’ve ever seen on this forum, as well as factually inaccurate.
Let me guess, as soon as his nonsense was proven wrong, he ran off? Its not just a football thing with him.

On avg houses in Belle Meade, Brentwood, and Franklin are larger and more expensive than houses in Buckhead.
That is simply false. Buckhead is one of the most premier residential real estate areas in the entire country. It’s like the 8th wealthiest zip code in the country

Having moved from Nashville to Atlanta and currently living close to Buckhead, I know both areas well. On avg houses in Belle Meade, Brentwood, and Franklin are larger and more expensive than houses in Buckhead.
If you knew both areas well you wouldn’t make such a dumbarse statement.

I don't care about the football game being stuck in Atlanta. It is only two teams each year.
The retarded thing is that baseball never leaves Hoover and basketball doesn't rotate nearly enough.
Those are events that every school goes to every year. Move that shite around more. Playing the baseball tournament (which doesn't matter) in Hoover every year is the biggest crock of shite in SEC sports. Boring venue, in the state that supports college baseball the least in the league.
But it's stuck there. Like it broke down and nobody can afford the tow truck, so we're just like "well, that'll do".

Because Atlanta is in the SOUTHEAST. Dam, can't believe people can't get that thru their meat heads.

I get that Atlanta is somewhat of a central location in the SEC, but not for fans from aTm, Arkansas and Missouri -- and soon, Texas and Oklahoma
