He was a defensive back when he played. And he rose up the coaching ranks as a DB coach. Your influence over the DBs is going to diminish when you’re a head coach. You’re now focused on the big picture rather than working with the DBs everyday.
That’s a good sum up of it. Add to that the past couple of years the team has been focused on offense as we had all world skill players on that unit. The defense took a step back during those years

Pruitt left.
DB play plummeted.
Coincidence?
Our DB play was good last season. It's basically the only thing that held our defense together for most of the year.

#1 Pruitt didn't coach the DBs, and #2 our DB play hasn't dropped off and #3 you're an idiot.
Pruitt didn’t coach DBs when he was DB coach from 2010-2012?
Interesting

Interesting
He was the ILB coach the last time he was there.
But go ahead and talk about 8 years ago as if that's what you meant.

Eddie Jackson, Landon Collins, and Minkah Fitzpatrick are all guys who were really good in college but never stood out as superstars like Honey Badger
Both Eddie Jackson and Minkah Fitzpatrick scored more TDs in college (5) than Mathieu (4).
And neither was ever abused in a national championship game.
