I graduated from Ole Miss so obviously I hope they do well.
I grew up in Olive Branch, MS and I can assure you I know for a fact that Ole Miss has a very delusional fan base. It's always annoyed me. Bjork has done a great job building up the athletic program. I'm glad for the university that there are sports to be excited about other than baseball now, but I think some of the Ole Miss fans (not necessarily the people who went there-the fans who claim we will win everything every year who never went there) need to cool it.

That is not true of many in the fanbase at all.

I realize you are young and your view may be skewed by attending OM during some successful years in the big 3 sports. The reality is Ole Miss has the most self-depreciating fans in the country. I'd liken it to being the Cubs of the SEC.

It's doable with some lucky breaks, but I don't think anyone is expecting it.

Of the teams in the conference when we started divisions and a championship game, only UK, Vandy, and Ole Miss have not been to Atlanta.
I'd liken Ole Miss to the Vandy or UK of the SEC West.

I can guarantee you no one in their right mind truly thinks this. Sure, there will always be outliers, but deep down the majority of fans realize WAOM
