We are talking college, no one said anything about the NFL. Cam Newton, tebow, Reggie white, Hershel and bo alone were better players...

Peyton owned nearly every SEC passing record when he graduated and iirc, had the most wins of any quarterback in SEC history when he graduated. Along with winning every award possible sans the Heisman

Aaron Murray just about broke all those records. Does that make him better than Peyton??? And why did tee Martin basically win the title with that same team???

Aaron Murray was a very good college quarterback who played more games in a more pass happy era than SEC football in the mid-90’s. I don’t think anyone with a functioning brain would argue he was better than Peyton

Because Tennessee’s defense finally played well against Florida instead of giving up 35+ like they did from 93-97

Players step up in big games lol. That's what set Hershel, tebow, cam Newton and bo Jackson apart from Peyton. Peyton couldn't get it done vs Florida and even a national title. That's why charles woodson won it because he stepped up! Even the great Michael Jordans and Kobe Bryant were so special as well. Titles

My point is championships and big games will always override stats and records

Lol Peyton had 350 yards and 3 touchdowns against them in 97. Florida scored 5 touchdowns on their first 5 possessions against VOLS In 96. Florida scored 62 on Chavis in 95

Like is there a way to type out grunting caveman sounds so you can understand?

John Saunders would pump Woodson big time on ABC's scoreboard show, which generally came after a Big 10 game.

Remember, Weurffel won it in 1996. No way two white QBs from the SEC were going to win it back to back--even though they should have. Manning got screwed.

How many ints did he throw vs Florida in 1997???? Players on Mount Rushmore don't throw that many picks in a game and I don't recall woodson having any bad games and actually beating his rivals. He had Brian freaking griese as a qb lol. You sure you aren't a caveman pumpkin pie haircutted freak...

So I guess Tennessee and Georgia aren't rivals.
