Worst QB we’ve had since the guy nobody remembers who started before Sam Bradford. Hell, we were relegated to running the QB power run most of the time. I mean that’s Texas-Elingher bad.

Hurts was really soft in the arm skills/dissecting a defense areas. Is that good enough. We should not have been in the playoffs that year.

Burrow was an amazing talent. Hell, that LSU team was outstanding. But in true LSU style, they suck again. Ghosts of the 1960/70/80/90s creeping in in Baton Rouge?

Down year for a traditional power. Congrats though. Hope it makes up for 60 years of sucking.

80s, I believe they hired a promising head coach but he died in a plane crash or car wreck before he coached game.

Correct, and they also won 2 SEC titles in the 80s with Arnsparger, then he retired. LSU was lazy and just promoted Mike Archer and then made a WOAT hire after him with Curly Hallman

how did they avoid developing a “Vanderbilt type” stigma?

How did they avoid a stigma of being an elite academic university that has ttrouble recruiting elite athletes? How did LSU avoid the Southern Ivey moniker? For real, dude? You need that answered?

We had a shitty Alabama retread at QB. Guy couldn’t hit a 15 yard crossing route man. Honestly, we never should’ve been there in the first place.

Oklahoma hasn’t won a game that matters since the 2000 season. I’m sure you have a list of excuses as to why you keep losing

I don’t need to read a link. I’m very aware of how good LSU has been over time. I’m also aware you’re a moron

And these will be remembered as down years in Oklahoma. Won’t last forever though. No 5-6 seasons in there. Looking at you LSU.

LSU has 3 national championships and 5 SEC championships during those down years.

Life long OU fan. That’s how I know Hurts was the worst QB we’ve had in 16 years. At least back then we had a defense. Riley got too big for his britches and thought he’d turn a turd into a diamond. Big mistake.

You think things are going to get easier for Oklahoma in the SEC?

Oklahoma hasn’t won big games with any consistency in over 40 years.

Just because y’all can’t beat might Mizzou doesn’t mean OU and even lowly Texas can’t. LSU’s nature is to suck most years and pop up and have a great record every 10-15 years historically. History just keeps on repeating.
