He tried to get the judge to postpone his start date and he wouldn't. I think he didn't show up so he could watch mark play a game or two.

Oh, I realize why he didn't report on time. I just think it was pretty boneheaded. But if watching his son play in 1 or 2 more games was worth 1-2 more years of his life, then more power to him.

Damn, I didn't realise it added a year or 2 to his sentence. I was thinking 30 days or something. He shoulda reported on time and watched from prison.
