This part doesn't make sense to me. Did AU find something? I am really confused by how the ineligible > eligible thing went down

asked and answered. Auburn doesn't play football on Tuesdays or Wednesdays; any other questions?

The NCAA told Auburn they're certain Cecil solicited money, which is a violation. Protocol is that Auburn has to rule the player ineligible. They then filed for reinstatement on the grounds that the player and the university were unaware of Cecil's solicitation.

Due to no proof of Auburn or Cam knowing about the solicitation, the reinstatement was granted.

In short, nothing has changed.

The NCAA determined a violation had occurred, we basically said ok so can we play him? They said yes.

They finally realized that if there was evidence that something happened they had to rule him ineligible then appeal to reinstatement committee. They should have done it earlier, but were scared the NCAA might not reinstate.

I believe this was in response to the NCAA declaring him ineligible on Monday according to the release.

Tuesday is Au's clearing house day.

Typically there is no one to rule on...this Tuesday was special. Maybe next Tuesday will be special too.

Auburn declared him ineligible, not the NCAA. The NCAA simply told Auburn that they have sufficient evidence to know that a violation occurred with MState's recruitment.

I'm sorry, I should have said it was in response to the NCAA informing Auburn that he had violated rules.
