What’s so absurd about that? What has Mullen ever done to suggest he’s a winner?

Made it to a conference championship game during a Covid year, which was coincidentally his last full season as a coach?

Besides 1 year with Dak, where he got blown out by Paul Johnson’s triple option in the orange bowl, he never had any double digit winning seasons, never beat Bama once (even though South Carolina, ole miss, Kevin Sumlin’s Aggy and other “lower caliber” programs did).

If anything Mullen was a proven loser when Florida hired him and he continued his losing ways once he got to Florida.

Florida is in worse shape than Miss state now, that is Dan Mullen’s legacy

He has the best winning percentage at State since the 70s. And he did it playing possibly the stiffest competition State has faced since integration.

This is why I say yall have absurd standards. You're clearly indicating that he wasn't a winning coach because he never played for a title. That's absolutely unrealistic.

Completely irrelevant to the conversation. I criticized the hire at the time and you can see my post history from back then if you're interested in finding it. But it was for reasons other than his winning %.

now they will struggle to be bowl eligible very year until they can sun belt billy

objection. speculation.

no one knows this, yet. believe it or not, we're already trending upwards in recruiting. a spot we've suffered in since the hiring of mac/mullen. and that's due to billy putting in the work to get those guys. if we can get 4-5 more 4/5*s, we could easily be in the top 5 in recruiting this year. right there with bama and georgia.

i think year 3 is going to be the year we see a dramatic step up in the on-field production. if it's the same old thing as this year, then you can start to question.

eta: kirby was 8-5 (4-4) in his first year. imagine the flack he and georgia fans got that season.
