Uh, what the frick does this mean? Are you still refuting it was the 3rd lowest rating for a BCS game? WTF is your point?
And by the way, it was not bleacher report I pasted from, not that it matters.

This is a better article. Viewership average for all BCS bowls was down. They didn't just single out Alabama-LSU. It was also the first year that it was only on Cable. Chick Fil A Bowl was down 17% from the year before. Turns out a shitty Auburn team in a shitty bowl was worse than the year before too.
quote:
ESPN's broadcasts of the five BCS bowls dropped 6 percent to an average 8.9 rating -- meaning 8.9 percent of U.S. television households were watching. Alabama-LSU produced a 14.0 rating by Nielsen, the third-lowest rated BCS Championship Game ever, and the Orange Bowl became the least-watched BCS game in the BCS era. ESPN said the BCS Championship Game was the second-most watched program in cable history and was seen in 16.2 percent of all households with ESPN. Nielsen ratings count all homes with a TV. When the BCS moved to ESPN last year, the switch cut off about 15 million homes that don't get cable or satellite.
quote:
Still, many of ESPN's bowls took ratings hits. Twenty-one of 34 bowls counted by Nielsen attracted fewer viewers than a year ago, including 11 that plummeted by 20 percent or more. Nielsen does not have data for the TicketCity Bowl because it airs on ESPNU. Auburn's rout of Virginia at the Chick-fil-A Bowl drew a 3.6 rating, down 17 percent from South Carolina-Florida State a year ago. It was the lowest-rated Chick-fil-A Bowl since LSU-Georgia Tech in 2008 had a 3.4.
quote:
Six of the seven most-watched bowl games this season saw their viewership drop. Among those, only the Fiesta Bowl with Stanford-Oklahoma State experienced an uptick, enjoying a 56-percent increase, marking the largest gain of any bowl from a year ago. Another big winner was the Alamo Bowl, which jumped from 15th-most watched bowl to eighth. Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III and the highest-scoring bowl game ever helped the Alamo enjoy a 55-percent increase in viewers.
quote:
The average margin of victory was 11.2 points, down considerably from 15.3 points last year, which was the most uncompetitive bowl season since 1997.
quote:
As usual, the SEC produced the highest average bowl rating this season, followed in order by the Pac-12, Big Ten, Big 12, ACC and Big East.
Here is the article

NEW ORLEANS -- Alabama loved a rematch. Not so much of the rest of the country.
It turns out most television viewers didn't want to see Alabama-LSU again, at least not an uncompetitive rematch.
Final ratings for Alabama's 21-0 victory over LSU were the third lowest for a national championship in the 14-year history of the BCS. The All-SEC affair, the first championship pairing teams from the same conference, drew a 14.0 rating on ESPN. The lowest ratings were a 13.7 for USC-Oklahoma in 2005 and a 13.8 for Miami-Nebraska. [Note: Updated with final ratings after initial overnight ratings.]
To put last night's rating in perspective, Alabama-LSU on Nov. 5 drew an 11.5 on CBS. Last night's game was down 8 percent from Auburn's three-point victory over Oregon last year. It was also down from Alabama's last national championship when the Crimson Tide defeated Texas in 2010.
Alabama-LSU capped a disappointing ratings year for the BCS on ESPN. The five BCS games averaged 8.4% of all TV households, down 12 percent from last year.
From Bama's own beat writer.
Now if you dumbshit gumps are finished, the discussion can get back to why UF is deserving.

I'm in Miami this weekend, so no. Hell, considering what a monumental arse kicking it will likely be, I will probably be at a beach bar, probably Blondie's in Lauderdale, watching until it gets ugly then forgetting about it. Not planning my day around it this year.
BTW, if bama beats UGA and makes it to Miami, I will actually be helpful and try to give some advice on places to stay and go while here for those that want it.

I think Florida and Bama in the Title game is so possible it's not even funny. If they beat FSU, UGA falls to Bama, and ND falls to USC, Florida is there.

Bama definitely got a free pass by the media and the coaches. The computers do not lie and Florida deserves it much more than Bama right now. Perception is stupid when everything is so cyclical year in and year out. Yes, cool, Bama has been hot as of late, but Florida has played with the hardest schedule and has gone 3-1 versus the BCS top 12, what say you BAMA?

quote:Congrats. You lost your division and will have to wait and see how the rest plays out like Bama had to do last year. If USC beats ND then it's very possible that you'll play the winner of the SECCG for the BCSCG.
what say you BAMA
I'll also say that if we make it to the BCSCG we will have beaten the team you couldn't, beaten an LSU team at night in Tiger Stadium, lost to Johnny Football (You would too if the game was this week but you'll never admit that), and destroyed everyone else. What say you ForeverGator?

can certainly see the UF argument. Over either ND or the SECG winner. More so over the SECCG winner though. FL will have the same record and accomplished more than either UGA or bama if UF wins this weekend and it is not even possible to disagree with that. In fact it is not even close when comparing the resumes.
So your argument is now resume trumps head to head results.
Now that really makes a lot of sense.
