I think Malcome will surprise this year. The kid is still very young and could be very good.
If crowell flops like recent 5 star UGA backs, then they're in trouble. I think Crowell can do half of what Lattimore did.

Samuel should be alright, but not great.

If Richard Samuel goes for over 1k this year, then UGA coaches are dumber than everyone thinks

He'll start. Richt et al, despite what anyone wants you to believe, didn't merely move Samuel back for "depth". He's the only legitimate player capable of giving more than 10 carries a game right now.

I think the depth chart will change after fall practice.

Do you?

I expect it to be split somewhat evenly between Malcome and Crowell with the other half of the snaps.

I expect Samuel to get 75% of the carries/snaps early on, Thomas getting the majority of the rest (save Boise) with Crowell and Malcomme playing musical chairs until one of them shows he deserves more PT.

Did you hear Richt at media days today? It was pretty much that Crowell is going to get as good a chance as anyone to start and get significant carries.

Yes.

Look for Samuel to start.

Most of the season (sadly) based on what I've heard.

They know they should have never let Demetre Baker get away.

Is this a joke? Whoever plays the best is going to start. If Crowell shows out in the dome and against USC and Samuel does nothing, Crowell is going to start. They're not determining who's going to start past Boise in July.

Meh. He was slated to move to FB until Ealey got the spirit to transfer. And he would've been in the dreggs there too. Durability is a big issue for him.

I'd say he rushes for around 400 - 500 yards and 4 - 5 TD's this year.

He'll get 700 yards or so.

Sadly, no.

Yep.

Crowell isn't ready to start - per all the word on the street. He may not even be ready to make a serious contribution, meaning 1/2 or 1/3 of the carries. Word is his conditioning is an issue, but his capabilities with regard to handling stress and learning the playbook (particularly the pass blocking ) may be a real issue this season.

And no, I'm not saying he's not going to play, is a chump etc. etc., just that he has a steeper learning curve than the "he's the program savior" people want to believe - which is not unexpected at all.

No. But they are determining who/how the carries get split in practice and early on. Hence Samuel's move.

Where did you hear this? We were already 2 deep at FB with Olgetree and Figgins. Malcome is down to 215. He wasn't playing FB at 215. I seriously don't buy the stuff you're puttin out today

Don't really care who starts as long as the offensive line opens up some holes for the runners for a change.

Don LeeBurn, Dean William Tate, and an Auburn hostess and I got drunk last Saturday and decided to ride around Athens for awhile.

When we got down to Elder's Covered Bridge, the hostess spilled the beans.

After the beans had been spilled on her.

Man you are sounding like Eeyore today...we're not here proclaiming outrageous expectations, but still it's good to generate a little excitement amongst us dawg fans...Crowell has plenty of time to "get in shape" and such, and "what you hear on the street" changes from day to day...who knows how he'll handle things down the road. I look forward to the day where we say "i told you so" and as a dawg fan, i'm hoping you look forward to it also.

Agholor is at UF now. I think we get him FWIW.

Jenkins would not shock me either way he went. I think you get Marshall unless Crowell lights it up this year.
