They know the talent pool Champ put together is gone, so they are stuck in denial about their future. I would be too

Let them tell it WM tanked UF

Shhhh.....this is finally their ye

Just go with it, UT finally caught on so we need one delusionally optimistic rival to laugh at when they're unranked by week 8.

Please elaborate on that one- he seems to have the same "winning pedigree" as Muschamp and McElwain only with worse on field results (albeit in limited opportunities).

I'm as critical of Mac as anyone but he has shown a knack for identifying underrated offensive talents its on defense where he's recruited below the level he inherited even taking into account people being mis-evaluated.
This is his put up or shut up year-- if Florida drops off rather than taking a step forward this year then 2018 will likely be Mac's last in Gainesville.

It's always fascinating to me that all of our rivals think we claim we're going to win a title every offseason...yet that has never actually happened in reality. Odd.

Uf definitely outperformed UGA. But UGA had a grad transfer as the only talented senior on the roster last year. I'm guessing that UF has had much better upper-class talent back in 2015.
Guess again? We actually didn't have a single senior on the offensive side of the ball outside of McGee and maybe one offensive lineman.
You guys really, really want to justify 20 years of mediocrity but you can't. It's a wonderful attempt, but you think Florida didn't have its transfers? You think it didn't hurt us (not playing against your shitshow of a team) not having a quarterback the last two years outside of a Redshirt PED Freshman?
You guys had four upperclassmen on your line, we had one.
In fact, our RG was playing Center and his backup was a true freshman.
We had no quarterback, no offensive line, one upper-classmen running back, no wide receivers and no fricking kicker and still dominated Georgia.
It isn't going to change because this top ten class was a little better than last year's and the year's before that, and the year's before that.
It's a coaching problem at Georgia, PERIOD. Roster isn't an excuse.

As much as I hate to say it we have consistently been like that hot chick at the end of the bar after 12 too many. Hot looking at first until you wake up the next morning and you realize you went to bed with an super 8 and woke up with a sub 5.
The difference under Kirby is he stacks the bar with hotties so the odds are better.

What part of the loaded defense uf has had do you not understand? That's been a huge Advantage for uf and it's slipping away.

I loved that one time the defense rushed for 418 yards.
Then there was that time in 2015 when the Florida defense put up over 400 yards on Georgia.
Last year is literally the only year you could have an argument, and, well, it was with our weakest offense to date because of quarterback play.
The other years you guys just got smoked by our terrible, terrible offense.

This isn't rocket science.
UF 2012 recruiting class
Look at the link. 8 players ranked 94+. High 4 stars. How many of them were on the team in 2015?
In 2016, UGA had no one ranked 94+ as a senior except a grad transfer from Alabama that came to follow Kirby.
2013 UF recruiting class
There are 9 players 94+ from the 2013 class. How many of them were on the 2015 UF squad.
We had 7 juniors 94+ (8 upperclassmen total).
If you have more than 8 upperclassmen 94+ on the team from those 2 classes... you have more talent.
I know you are a UF fan... but take it slow and let me know how many of those guys were still on the roster in 2015.

Bc Kirby is doing the right things off season. His recruiting is almost second to none. He need to loosen up and let his assistants coach and practice better clock management.
Kirby will have them playing tough physical kick arse football as early as next season as late as the season after next.
ETA: Kirby was a better hire than yellow beaver teeth.

I cherry pick years wherein the majority of the defensive talent left early and didn't play this year due to transfers, going early or injury to ease my conscience that Kirby is in fact, like Muschamp and actually inherited quite a damn good team that consistently ranked in the recruiting top ten the last five out of six years.
I don't know why we go round and round when you haven't a clue about the Gator depth chart, the lack of Muschamp's recruiting and your contorting to make five out of the last six top ten recruiting classes mundane.
Florida has been soundly beaten on the recruiting trail the last three (now four) years.
Recruiting. Is. Not. The. Problem. At. Georgia.
You can't have two fricking five star running backs, a five star quarterback, the field littered with four star receivers and then come talk about Florida recruiting.
Literally, our best offensive recruit left the first year of McElwain's tenure -- there were no quarterbacks behind him. There was no kicker. There were three true freshmen on the line.
Georgia fans are fighting really hard for most deluded fanbase.
Get accustomed to finishing second in the East for the next few years, because if you think this excuses losses to teams like Vanderbilt...
Wow, you know who else lost to Vanderbilt?
I'll give you a guess.

Our top receiver is a freshman.
Our OL is comprised of 4 underclassmen (in contrast to your 4 upperclassmen) with true freshmen backups.
Our top quarterback is a walk-on.
His backup was a backup at 3 - 9 Purdue.
After that there is no quarterback.
We had 3 true freshmen playing linebacker this year.
We had linebackers playing cornerback.
Literally, outside of our d-line, we had everything worse than Georgia. You think you have problems?
You don't know what problems are until your RG is snapping at center and a true freshman fills in his spot.
You guys had more upperclassmen on your line than we had offensive linemen period in 2015. (There were six total)

UGA simply can't consistently win the cocktail party. As an outside observer I think Uga has only won 5 of the last 25 or 30 meetings. Until they can beat Uf on a regular basis these threads will always pop up. Think about Uga's path to Atl in the east. 3 guaranteed wins every year vs Vandy, Ky, and ut. They annually shite the bed against USC, mizzou or Ut. They're just not a relevant program
