Little known story that also connects the Tide with Deshler HS (second most winningest HS is Alabama football), Howard Chappel (longtime, legendary HS Coach at Deshler had his UA teammate ,Coach Bryant, come up to Tuscumbia occasionally to walk the sidelines and help coach Defense).

Although, those close to the situation in the mid 30s have also stated it was more of a chance for the Bear to slip away from his lovely young, new bride and have a few drinks and play cards with the boys.

Either way, Deshler has long been, in uniform and production, a UA-esque HS football power. They were in my area in HS and it sucked. Deshler didn't lose an area football game in throughout the entirety of the 90s.

....

More familiar to the masses would be these clowns.

Illinois is nothing like Florida. Shades of orange and blue are both really different.

Most teams with orange and blue have a more fall orange and a navy blue whereas UF has the bright orange and royal blue

I don't think UF has a doppelganger

You do realize that's closer to Auburn and Florida orange than Tennessee orange?

If you’re going to do that, might as well be the grammar police as well. That’s a far more noticeable error IMO.
