I couldn’t find a good explanation for the seeding. Only thing I’m confident on is top 4 being highest ranked team left from each conference. I assumed the rest of the seeds followed the rankings outside of that, but didn’t care enough to look

I think there would be some pretty fun matchups any given year. I don’t think it would ever happen though.

an NIT would help solve one problem..

Who was left out that should have been in?

For that reason, I think it needs to happen. I’d watch.

Your seeding is ludicrous but Ole Miss cake walks that field.

It is weird, but only because it follows the same dumb format as the CFP seedings.

Obvious difference being it's not conference champions.

Bama was the highest ranked team not in the playoffs, so they get the first bye. No other SEC team can get a bye.

Miami 2nd highest, ACC spot filled.

Ole Miss and South Carolina would be 3 and 4, but can't be due to the one per conference stupidity. Instead it falls to BYU and (Big 12) and Illinois (B1G). After that, it just seeds the rest based on the rankings.

I can't let shite go, so I edited it to just be based on rankings:
