Who would be on a Mt. Rushmore of the history of your favorite CFB team?

Saban took over coming off of the worst decade in the history of your program. He won more there in his 5 years at LSU than Miles did in hist first 5 years.

You are incorrect. Saban won 48 games, 1 SEC and 1 Natl title in 2000-2004, but only had the one season out of those 5 with less than 3 losses. He also won only 3 of 5 bowl games, 2 which were BCS bowls.

Meanwhile.......
Miles won 51 games, 1 SEC and 1 Natl Title in 2005-2009, but had 3 seasons of 11 or more victories and won 4 of 5 bowl games in that span, including 2 BCS bowls.

Oh, and nice nice selective reasoning. The 'worst' period at LSU was 1989-1994 (6 straight non-winning seasons) mostly under Curley Hallman.

You don't even acknowledge that Gerry Dinardo took over in 1995 after that horrible period and promptly won 26 games and had 3 straight winning seasons and 3 straight bowl victories in 1995 through 1997. Yes he had losing records in 1998 and 1999, but LSU still sent a lot of players to the NFL even in those years.

It was Gerry Dinardo who rebuilt the LSU tradition of winning that had forged the #12 program in number of NCAA victories from 1893 - 1994 (including those 6 bad years prior to Dinardo)! (All this national tradition """""""""""B E F O R E"""""""""
Saban I might add.) And BTW, LSU is STILL # 12 in number of all-time NCAA victories, just like before Saban - although we are just a few behind #11 Georgia now.

Dinardo closed the state off and signed many of the top players in talent-rich Louisiana in his 5 years at LSU, and sent a lot of them to the NFL.

Also, Saban won the 2001 SEC Title and the 2003 SEC and National Titles with bench warmers and freshmen-senior talent left over from DINARDO.

Assuming this is just for on the field because if not 3/4 of Bama's would be Coach/AD. Regardless I would put

Derrick Thomas
Barrett Jones
Ozzie Newsome
Don Hutson

Well since you want to go down that road, Miles won the 07 title with Saban players.

Not on Rushmore yet... not when Bama lined up Dwight Stevenson and Jon Hannah(both could have played anywhere on the O.L.) and both are in the CF HOF and the NFL HOF

Derrick Thomas should not be left off any HOF anywhere... tNFL should be ashamed!

Derrick Thomas

One of my all time favorites. Still have a college and pro jersey of his from when I was younger. Extremely sad day when he had his wreck and even worse when he passed.
