Not technically inside the 10... but close enough.

I would say under 100 would be successful. under 80 would be marvelous
pretty much this.
Our defense will hit Gurley a lot earlier than Clemson was able to.
I certainly don't expect him to only have 30 something yards like last year even though that would be fantastic.

Just for curiosity's sake, what do you consider "limiting" gurley? 30 yards, 50, 80?
Anything under 100 yards and 1 TD. Dude's gonna get carries, but I don't want him dictating the game.
That said, I don't want to see Whammy spend all his time gaming against Gurley just to have Murray torch his secondary (which is better than many are giving it credit for), either.

A lot of well thought out rationale in this thread. I think it all boils down to the LOS. In the SEC, you win in the trenches. The 2011 Georgia game was a rarity and frankly we were fortunate enough to win the game. I don't see this year being as much of a scoring fest. I think we clearly have the advantage in the trenches and think we pull out a close one by a score of 27-21.
Gurley is a beast and will be hard to contain. Bobo needs to call plays that takes advantage of us over pursuing at times. I promise that our D will not be nearly as easy to move the ball on as Clemson. On offense, I really don't think we'll see Thompson unless Shaw gets hurt or really struggles. I think his legs gives us an advantage as he got about 5 first downs on Georgia on him alone last year. Davis and Wilds are both excellent at yards after contact so if you struggle to tackle like last week, we should churn out yards on the ground. I think we win with a successful ground game and the occasional shot downfield to Byrd or Roland.

Lots of new names so they are untested. No one but carolina fans can really know how good they are.
PS: They're good.

I feel like I'm the only Gamecock fan not all that confident in our play in the trenches. This reminds of the week leading up to when we played LSU last year and everyone was saying our DLine would kill their OLine. Well, that didnt happen. I'm not saying it can't happen, and Clowney will be in good form unlike against UNC but I attribute UGA's poor OLine play to 1st game of the season and the crowd niose. Clemson and its players were extremely pumped up, just like when UGA came to WB last year.

True, but Clemson's line sucks. No matter how pumped up they were, they shouldn't have been able to handle Georgia's like they did. If that isn't a red flag I don't know what is. This is the same Clemson linemen who were pumped up to play us last year only to get abused by Clowney and Co.

Yes and no. I get what you're saying, and I absolutely see the parallels to the LSU game last year. USC bought into their own hype before that game, and that, coupled with the flu that went around, let to a drastic let down in a game that they really needed to win.
The difference between this UGA game and last year's LSU game is that we have a lot more film and familiarity between the two programs. No one knew how USC and LSU were going to match up. With regards to UGA, USC has shown the last three years that they have an advantage at d-line. With what little evidence that has been shown so far this season, there is little reason to doubt that this advantage will continue.
All this leads me to reiterate my original position. My head says USC, my heart says heartbreaker.

Dawgs win. Combo of Gurley, being at home, losing a game we could have easily won last week, and the return of JHC.
