Yeah, I think an argument could be made for our D-line being tops but with MLB being a big question mark I wouldn't say the front 7 as a whole is. The other LB positions are solid though.

Forida will have a great DL....and defense period. Our DL is DEEP and just because Fowler left doesn't mean anything. Jon Bullard would start on any SEC team....he is a senior. Joey Ivie would start on a lot of SEC teams and he is junior and started coming on last year, Taven Bryan is a r/s frosh from Wyoming who has really turned heads, Alex McCallister is one of my favorites...seeing him as true frosh he was 6'6 and 225, very skinny, he is now r/s junior and filled out...almost 6'7" and a wingspan that will bat down passes...he came on last year chasing qbs...good motor, Caleb Brantley is a hoss and a soph who also came on last year, Khairi Clark is a load and a r/s frosh, Bryan Cox got a lot of snaps last year and is a returning DL starter as a junior, Thomas Holley got injured last year as true frosh and redshirted, was highly recruited and we also have a top recruit CeCe Jefferson to provide depth along with several others that are developing.
At LBer we have one of the best LBs in the SEC, Antonio Morrison, a senior who brings it every play, he is practicing every day non contact but will be ready to play this year..Jarrad Davis is a load and a junior returning starter, Alex Anzalone is a junior with a lot of snaps last year, Daniel McMillian is junior who has come on, Jeremi Powell ditto and Matt Rolin was redshirted and is soph.
Our secondary is an embarrassment of riches and our safeties are now very experienced and guys like Marcus Maye & Keanu Neal will bring lumber and wrs will have heads on swivels.
15th best defense in the country last year even with mediocre offense keeping it on the field, will be better in 2015.

Have you noticed that in these type of threads lsu fans are always trying to change the direction...
What is observable and quantifiable in this thread before your post: 5 LSU fans agreeing that Bama's front 7 will is the best; 2 LSU fans going the silly A&M route; and 1 LSU fan agreeing that Bama's front 7 will be the best, but also throwing in a "look-at-me".
Looks to me that your "change of direction" is more egregious than that one LSU fan.

With 2 freshmen starting?...really?
Right now, I think we'll have one freshman starting by league play. We play A LOT of Nickel so...
DE - Barnett - Sophomore
DT - Williams - RS Senior
DT - McKenzie - Freshman
DE - Maggit - RS Senior
LB - Reeves-Maybin - Junior
LB - Bynum - RS Junior

Alabama's front 7 should honestly be really, really good.
And with a conference that is lacking strong quarterbacks, their weaker (but improving) secondary might not be as big of a liability as it was in 2013, or even 2014.
I don't think Alabama is going to win the conference. I think that game at Georgia is likely a loss, and in what will probably be a very clustered SEC West, that one loss to an East team that most West teams won't suffer could be the difference.
However, I think they'll win 10 games and be in play for a Big Six bowl game, with an outside shot for the playoff.

I get the hype about Floyd, but what about the other two?
Carter and Jenkins, Those three are the reason UGA is considered on having the best LB group in the country

Alabama has enough depth in the front 7 to field 2 defensive fronts that would play at a very high level. Several teams in the league have a quality group starting but wont be able to roll guys in and out of the lineup like Bama will.

Alabama's front 7 is as solid as they come. I don't know about the pass rush, but no one is running consistently on Alabama this year...

UGA has 3 future first round picks at LB, and some crazy good young DL's... It will be a tight race between Bama and UGA

I think that game at Georgia is likely a loss

So many Bama haters in this thread. If you don't like them, then beat them on the football field. Not that hard of a concept to understand.
Big talk from a fan of a team that hasn't beaten Alabama since 1977.
As a matter of fact, you don't come off like a Nebraska fan at all, you sound more like a Texan - tall in the saddle, short on the cattle. You sure you're not some Longhorn poser?

Who said our QB situation was bad. We just have a couple of QB's competing and from what I hear is doing well. Nothing spectacular but not bad.

It's a road game against a pretty evenly-matched team, IMO. I think that'll be a loss.
But of course an Alabama fan would pick that minor detail to argue out of my entire post.
Sorry, y'all are going 15-0 and winning the title. That better?

The fact that you think this is funny shows how ignorant you really are.
