As opposed to A&M fans getting a sore arse and not being able to sit at all.

LF didn't want to go to bama because he didn't want to end up like Mark, Trent, Eddie, TJ and now Derrick..... Washed up and burnt out.

You do realize that LF has actually had far more career touches than any of the 5 Bama RBs mentioned right? So Bama burned them out argument doesn't work. If LF is truly as talented as you say he is, he should be successful RB even if he had gone to Bama.

Good for them, because if they did, they would be judged perpetual failures.

Well Henry is playing behind an NFL rushing champion so I'll take Fournette when the Panthers draft him

you realize that LF7 had 429 total carries in 2015 and 2016 combined right.. (for 6.52 ypc)? Henry had 395 in 2016 alone (5.62 ypc). Fournette is also much better than any of those 5 RBs mentioned.

Completely different RBs in both style and usage but to be fair whoever goes to the best OL wins.

I literally cannot name one huge play by Leonard Fournette. The team was top 15 for most of his career but there are close to zero Remember When moments from him

I'm so confused by this post.

He also sat out half of 2016.

And one season when you're 20 and bigger than most linebackers isn't going to wear you out.

And what does that have to do with my comment? Mine was in response to all Bama RBs being supposedly more burned out than LF even though he's had more touches then any of them.
Also once again, college success doesn't equal NFL success. If that was the case, Montee Ball and Trent Richardson would at least be decent RBs in the NFL right now instead of not playing at all.

You are right. He is better than every RB from bama since 1892.

That's like two lifetimes and maybe 6 generations.

We really need to stop saying generational.

See, here's the thing that the dumbass LSU fans just don't get. And this isn't just a perception of Alabama fans...every other fan base on this one board will vouch for this. All these LSU fans yapping about the greatness of Leonard Fournette? They're the same fools who kept talking about having the best OL in the country last year. That's right...the pile of steaming dogshit that was LSUs offensive line, all the LSU fans around here were convinced was the best in the country, until they got to Tuscaloosa and got bent over by Alabama in front of the entire country. So keep blabbering, LSU fans. We loved the original movie, the sequel's gonna be even better.

It's not the "touches" that burns them out.

From what I have heard from people who have worked with Saban is that it's the daily grind of having Nick screaming in your face every day at practice. Then you go in the weight room and Scott Cochran is in there all beet-red yelling at you for two more hours.

Then you have three 5* players in front of you and three more that will be recruited behind you. You can't let up and if you get hurt you can't sit out or you will get passed up with quickness. Playing for Nick at bama is like a three year episode of Survivor. He is a swag-vampire and it just sucks the life out of these guys. This has been talked about in the media, so don't say it's just LSU fans saying this.

It will never be said publicly, but Burton Burns did not want a legend like LF to use all of his talent up at bama.
He sees it every day. LF and his family knew that Les and Frank Wilson would not use him up and force him to roid-up and take pain shots in the tent on the sideline if he got hurt.

I just don't understand why bama fans can't accept it and move on. Bama is in the playoff and LF is about to be a top draft pick. It's a win-win.

There will always be players who want to peak in college at bama. There will always be players who want to play at LSU and be superstars in the NFL. That's life.

Played a bunch of teams with sorry defenses to get the bulk of his yards.

This narrative is great because it shows how incompetent someone truly is. LF rushed for less than 100 twice in 2015. The outlier against Bama (remember when Mark Ingram had a 30 yard game and still won the heisman? He must suck too with this logic) and 91 against Arkansas but he had a good chunk of receiving that put his all purpose above 100 in that game.

So, of the 12 teams, you mean to tell me he did it all against shitty defenses? He had 180 against Florida'a really good defense. 228 against auburn. 100+ and over 150 (with receiving) against ole miss.

He would have ran for 2k+ yards his senior season if the McNeese game hadn't been rained out, but he sucks and any back can do that.

Honestly, I really hope people who say this are trolling, because if not, I've seen a bag of rocks with a higher IQ.
