You won't find anyone that disagrees with this. Other than homer MSU fans...
You do realize that a LSU fan is the one who mentioned Chris Relf first right?

You do realize that LSU fan is also a CowU fan and has the brain power of a Dan Mullen Sylvester Crooms love child/dumpster baby. That is to say he is a fricking moron. Thanks for playing though.

What does the number of posts have to do with anything?
So I have to know, are you just that good to know that the LSU fan is a secret cowu fan, or do you just stalk that poster?

But then again, arguing with State fans about this is like arguing with them when they say that Michael Carr is their breakout receiver after making 4, yes FOUR, receptions during last year. Three of those was in the bowl game when they played one of the worst secondaries in the country.
Chad Bumphis was our breakout player his Freshman season with over 30 catches- he didnt catch any the year before.
Carr will be an impact player this year for us.
Thats the definition of a breakout player you Black Bear idiot- somebody that hasnt done much and then- wait for it- "breaks out" for a big year and becomes a player.

relf is good for MSU and all but not at all going to be a star
We'll see- I think he is going to have a big year. He wont throw for as many yards as Murray or the Pig QB, but with his rushing yards and his ability to take over games- he will be one of the stars of the SEC this season.

Relf could be a typical "breakout" player next year considering he has the ability to be really good bc of size and strength, and he is not regarded as anything more than an average QB. Halfway through last year he became good at managing our gameplan and offense and not turning the ball over. He already is hard to stop on the running game, so if our coaches just work more with him on his passing game with decision making, accuracy, and awareness then he could be a dangerous dual threat qb next year.
Ole miss fans are just butthurt bc Relf has owned them for 2 yrs so they feel the need to downplay any opinion a state fan may have to make themselves feel better.

As for Bumphis's freshman season, I think the fact that State had no receivers whatsoever and heavily relied on the run game is the reason Bumphis had that many yards.
As for Carr, just because he had a good bowl game doesn't equate into a breakout season. He faced an atrocious Michigan secondary. He's a great athlete, no doubt, but placing hype on him based on that is premature.

Knile Davis...I think this will be a big year for running backs in the league, with lots of talent returning. I think that Davis separates himself by running as more of an Eddie George type style, as opposed to the shorter, bowling ball type backs. Should be a fun season to watch.

NO ONE would be surprised to Knile be a star next season.

agree, just not sure if it will be a surprise breakout player I think he is expected to be really good, after watching him in the Auburn game I think he will eventually be better than Mallett... He has just as good an arm and accuracy and is more mobile than Mallett.

At the end of the season, watching him run in unison with the offensive line play was a thing of beauty...His vision was incredible, and with the upper body strength that he added in the off-season, I see him making a lot of d-backs (and linebackers) look silly. A stiff arm from a guy that benches 415+ and can run a 4.09 40 is a ridiculous package...and 4.09 is my imaginary time so back the f off...
