Not making excuses, but 3 of those were in the SCar game when his mom was on her deathbed.

Maty Mauk. He's the best QB in the SEC.

I know who's the worst for sure... Brandon Allen. That guy is horrid.

Opinions are going to change quickly on him. He was hurt all year and only practicing one day a week most of the season. Not to mention he was on his 3rd OC of his career.

He won't be the best in the league but he'll be much improved. Plus he gets to play Aubie's secondary to start.

Serious question about Dak.... I was looking at his numbers game by game last year, and as you mentioned, take out the one absolutely abysmal SC game, he did pretty damn good for a first year starter.

My question is whether or not he'll have a supporting cast around him to take his own numbers to the next level.

If his OL sucks, his numbers will suck. If the run game sucks, his numbers will suck. If his receivers drop balls or don't fight for the ball, his numbers will suck. If his receivers don't get decent yards after reception, his numbers will suck. If the defense can't keep the opposing offense off the field, his numbers will suck. If special teams keep you in shitty field position all day, his numbers will suck.

This line of thinking is what makes me hesitate to get on board with the Dak Knight.

If he were at UGA or Auburn or Florida, especially Florida, or any team that's had a top 10, top 15 recruiting class every year for the last 3 years, I could see Dak being a potential Heisman candidate.

Just re-read the Miss St Preview and looked up some of the individual players returning.

Between the three receivers De'Runnya, Jameon, and Johnson, and the reception yards from running back Josh Robinson, the Dak Knight has 1778 receiving yards returning from last year's team. There's probably more, I only added up the rec yards for just the players above because that's who the writers hyped for the preview.

And Josh Robinson really did finish the season with 5.9 ypc on 78 attempts.... and he finished 2012 with 6.1 ypc on 55 attempts.

That's really good. Why haven't I heard of this guy? Why have I heard of Alex Collins a million times, while this guy Robinson is outrunning Michael Dyer/Isaiah Crowell/Marcus Lattimore numbers.

That's all good news for Dak, but it sounds like the Offensive Line might be a shite show.

That's bad for Dak.
