UF and UGA both play at least 1 AQ/P5 OOC annually. 08 UF and 2021 UGA play 2 AQ/P5. No excuse for Auburn.

Also…for the record this is why I place as much weight on the SECC as I do the NC because those are won on the field. And it’s why I will defend HBCSOS even as a UGA fan for winning 6 f’n SECC even though he only won the 96 NC. It’s more impressive to me than FSU maybe beating UF and Miami and 10 skirts.

Tuberville was doing pretty solidly until he half assed his offense change

Gus obviously had a lot of success in the toughest version of the SEC but just hit a wall

How many big time non conference games have SECC lost in the last 30 years? Except maybe Florida in the 90’s because of FSU? I can’t think of any off hand. Is beating some mid grade P5 team really enhance your SOS when the only losses typically come in conference.

You do realize that Auburn has multiple losses to GT over that span, right?

I’m sorry, but going undefeated in the SEC and not winning the NC is bullsheet.

The SEC was not as well thought of in 2004 as it is in 2023. It was also rather unfortunate luck that Auburn made their run when preseason #1 and preseason #2 also ran the table. And sadly, just like in 1983, any hope of a split national championship was dashed by a mediocre effort in their bowl game. Auburn let a 16-0 lead dwindle to a 16-13 final score while being outgained 375-299.

Meanwhile, USC left no doubt with a 55-19 win over #2 Oklahoma.

So much factually wrong with your post.

Oh yeah, go ahead and sling the dirt and walk away without anything to back it up.

Awwright, what's factually "wrong" in my post?

Let's make a ban bet since you're so confident.
