I could be wrong, usually am, but I’m pretty sure Billy Cannon is a Mississippi product that attended Istruma (sic) HS in Baton Rouge ?
Just checked, he was born in Philadelphia MS. There is a very good story on how he ended up in BR and at LSU.

Terry Bradshaw comes to mind considering he won 4 SBs.
There's a laundry list of more "athletic" guys from Louisiana though.

Best pure athlete from Mississippi who ended up at a MS university has to be Marcus Dupree.
