First Gus, then Harsin. No coach is gonna wanna touch that job with a 10 foot pole. And I doubt they will have the money to hire anyone good after those monster buyouts
Harsin ain’t getting a buyout. He broke the morality clause in his contract.

Whoever wants the $20 million dollar golden parachute buyout in 2 years will take the job.

I’m sure lawyers are lining up to take his case if auburn thinks they are getting out of that buyout cause he was mean

Harsin has nothing to lose to take it to court.
Auburn doesn't want boosters or coaches testifying under oath.
His sister-in-law has already threatened to expose dirt on AU.
Harsin will get paid.
At this point, paying Harsin, Malzahn and their AD running at a deficit...there's a real question as to whether Auburn has the money to get anyone to be their head coach.

They're negotiating a lower buyout probably as we speak. Harsin will get $10 million of the $18 million just to stay mum and go quietly.

You may laugh, but this could well be boosters in effect going "frick your selection committees, WE'RE the boosters, we pay the big bucks, and one way or the other, we get the coach WE want. And you poors can suck it."

Kevin Steele was Hired at Maryland last week, then two days later hired by the Miami Dolphins. Three jobs in a little over a week will not read well on future resumes.

Coaches that bang their staff don’t get buyouts. Just ask Bobby P and Mike Dubois.

If they really want to get rid of him for cause they need to get proof he violated the morals clause. Or even easier kick him out for not getting vaccinated. Washington did it when their stubborn HC refused. Harsin put his team and every team he played at risk - health wise and also threatened SEC schedules if he had caused an outbreak.

Are you kidding?
The Auburn HC job is one of the best gigs around.
Any coach that takes the job is guaranteed to get huge buyout money when Auburn fires them before the end of the contract.

Probably. Whether he did something or not he’s not walking away empty handed

It is crazy to think about a school tying up ~ $40 million in HC buyout money over a 14 month span, not including what his assistants will get if they aren't retained.
The coaching carousel has turned for the most part this year, and they'd have to further dip into the purse to get any decent HC.
Price of snacks at AU sporting events is about to go up if he is fired.

Auburn is a dream job .a work a year or two, basically steal millions - get fired and go live at the beach on their dime.

He brings his secretary half way across the country to answer his phone and get him lattes. Nothing to see here. Move on

Money is no object for Auburn, especially having a few of these buried down in their bunkers...
