so Patterson as the 4 and Varnado the 5? Is Calathes playing the 3? The beauty of Taz is he can play the 3 or 4

it'd be a 3 guard lineup with the 2 bigs IMO.

I think 2 LSU make the "starting 5" - hell LSU has dominated the year!!!

Doubt KY will place 2 on that team. Meeks is a shoe-in. SC will definitely get 1 player on the 1st team.

2 LSU
Meeks
1 SC
Varnado or someone else from UF/Tennessee

I havent really been keeping up with all of the other SEC teams so correct me if im wrong, but I think Terrico White for Ole Miss should be considered for Freshman of the year.

Not bad at all disagree with the Freshmen of the year and player of the year though. Freshmen will be between Fortson and Bost. Player of the year should be Thornton but its a toss between him and Meeks.

Here is my 5:

Marcus Thornton- LSU
Jodie Meeks- UK
Nick Calathes- UF
Taz Mitchell- LSU
Patrick Patterson- UK

Freshmen of the Year: Courtney Fortson

I had a hard time deciding between Nick Calathes and Devan Downey. In the grand scheme I think Calathes brings more to the game. He leads league in Assits and hauls in 4 boards a game.

Thoughts?

Devin Downey is better than Calathes. The dude is a stud and he averages 20 a game. He can create his own shot better too.

PG Devan Downey
G Marcus Thornton
G Jodie Meeks
F Tasmin Mitchell
F Patrick Patterson or Varnado take your pick
