We're adding 8k seats over the next few years so I guess we'll find out.

Find out what? That it would still be 2,000 less than SC's average this year? An average that will probably go up after last year's eastern title?

Dude, chill.

I don't even know why I said "find out". I'm not even sure what I was saying we'll find out. I'm not trying to get in a dumbass pissing match with you.

Good, because I can be as stubborn as they come when it comes to irrelevant pissing matches.

And State, and Vandy, and Arky. Better attendance % wise than South Carolina and Tenn...

I could go on...

We ranked 24th in the nation in attendance last year. 22nd in 2009. Our average attendance was in 2009 was about 1k above capacity. Ours this past year was at 98%...

8th in the SEC attendance. Regardless you're still a basketball school. You haven't beaten Tennessee since 1984 and Randall Cobb said it best:

"To all the fans: loved seein Yall come late, love hearing Yall tell us we suck during the game, love that we have to play against our own fans too! Love that we can't pack the house when we play the #10 team in the nation. It means that much more to me. I love my team! Brotherhood they got my back n I got they back. The rest of Yall can get ready for bball season! Don't say u support n do all those things! Yeah I'm level 9 pissed... so deal w it! Not blaming all but Yall know who I'm talking abt- Yall know I love #bbn but something needed to be said."

I'm not saying we're not a "basketball" school. I'm saying our fans love football just as much. And our attendance is pretty fricking awesome for being a "basketball school".

OK...

I don't give a shite. You're a Bama fan who probably knows little to nothing about Kentucky fans. I've lived in KY my whole life and attended UK for 5 years. I know a little about the fan base...

I think you follow football pretty good myself. Two images I remember were the MCB in 08 and 09. 09 was crammed and this scene from 08 vs. FSU was cool

Randall Cobb played on the team and basically told your football fans that they suck and get ready for basketball season.

You're a Kentucky fan. I don't care. I'm guessing you're more biased.

Yea, and he later apologized and said he didn't mean it, and that it wasn't true. And if you look at the stats and attendance on Saturdays, it's not. Whatever. I'm not gonna argue with a Bama fan about my own fan base.

I'd have to say Ole Miss. We've had two legit chances in the last ten years halted by that season's national champion.

when other than 2003 did ole miss have a legit shot? in 2008, you had 2 sec losses, bama had zero. 2009, you had 4 conference losses, again bama had zero. the only time ole miss has come close to winning the west was 2003

Fair enough. If he said that, then it must be true.

It really doesn't matter. Most everyone sees you as a basketball school. It's like Vandy, people see them as a smart school. Do Vandy kids care about football... I'm sure but so does every school in the country. It is different at schools like Kentucky than school like Michigan, USC, Penn State, Texas, half the SEC, etc.

Do you have students that care about football? Yes. Do you have an entire state that only cares about beating their rival 365 days a year? No. I understand your point but nobody looks at Kentucky as a factor in anything, especially winning the SEC East... ever... even Kentucky fans.

if rupp held 70k people, i can assure you they'd fill it up if they only had 7 home games a year. go look at when kentucky plays teams on the road. they're everywhere. when the football team plays on the road, tickets are returned to the home team. kentucky def cares a lot more about basketball than football. it's not an insult. when you've won 40+ sec titles, you'd expect it to be that way. shite, just go read rupps rafter after any loss in bball and then compare it to a loss in football on a kentucky message board.

Nope. Although there's no reason Ole Miss should suck as bad as they do.
