As I have said before, Auburn has looked flat in every game this year. Yes, that includes the ones they've won.

I think he's worn his welcome out with Auburn fans. You just get tired of the same old thing.

Remember when Gus was OC for Houston Nutt with the best backfield ever, the best QB recruit in the nation and a couple top receivers and that QB was undefeated as a starter and they pulled him for Casey fricking Dick and went on to lose to LSU, the SECCG and the bowl game.

I guess I’m weird but I’ll always have fond memories of him, the block he laid for DMac against LSU still makes me smile. I don’t even know that it helped too much but I liked seeing it from a qb- a much maligned one on top of it.

Of the coaches and qbs involved in the whole debacle, I thought he handled things the classiest by far.

That's an understatement. Wait until Ole Miss kicks our arse Saturday.

I literally fall asleep every time I hear Pruitt speak. Makes me wonder what Fulmer saw in him to hire him.

Agree. Pruitt is dull and scripted. I suspect his players do not respect him.

But he always inspires his players to play hard for him.

You haven't seen him coach a bowl game then. Or in Willy-Brice this past weekend.

Dude is good for at least one game like Saturday's game where it's just a WTF performance to a team that his team should absolutely beat. UT in '18 at home. State 2017. Hell, they haven't looked inspired outside of maybe 1 qtr this season. Just absolute turds litter his AU HC career.

Every. Single. Year.

steve ensminger

couldn't install a modern offense
can't call plays on 3rd down, 4th down, or in the red zone

Who on this frickin planet hires or retains a man who can not do the most important aspects of a job?

I will say that his offense isn't as scary now as it was a few years ago. Part of that has to do with the lack of a running game but another part of it happens to be the fact that his offensive scheme isn't novel anymore. Every power team in the conference, with the exception of Georgia, is running a wide open, spread 'em out, HUNH offense. Defenses are learning to contain Malzahn's offense which, in my humble opinion, is starting to become out dated.

And all of them are running it better than him.
