Someone posted a player from A&M, so Bobby Jones was just as relevant. Not sure Tech had a golf team back then. Jones is in the GT Athletic HOF.

True, but if you go to his page on the Tech HOF website, it says nothing about any collegiate accomplishments. He was inducted post posthumously, so I'm guessing it was more an honorary induction based on his accomplishments worldwide as a golfer. For the most part, Jones only competed in national amatuer events and majors with some exhibition matches sprinkled in.

I think Jerry Pate had a pretty good career, but he’s on senior tour now.
