Justin Thomas (Alabama) would be my go to but I think in total skill and career id have to go with Bubba (Georgia)

Bubba's been around longer than J.T.

Currently is definitely Justin Thomas. Surprising that he only has one major because he seems to dominate whenever I watch

Cary Middlecoff (OM) has 39 career wins including a Masters and 2 US Opens. Not a lot of money to show for it due to the era he played but he is one of the best

That pic of Daly is the epitome of "rode hard and put up wet"

The correct answer is Bobby Jones from Georgia Tech.
But I'll go with Jordan Spieth

Ever?
Alabama: Justin Thomas; 1 major title, 14 PGA Tour wins
Arakansas: John Daly; 2 major titles, 5 PGA Tour wins
Auburn: Jason Dufner; 1 major title, 5 PGA Tour wins
Florida: Andy North; 2 major titles, 3 PGA Tour wins
Georgia: Bubba Watson; 2 major titles, 12 PGA Tour wins
Kentucky: Gay Brewer; 1 major title, 10 PGA Tour wins
LSU: David Toms: 1 major title, 13 PGA Tour wins
Ole Miss: Cary Middlecoff; 3 major titles, 39 PGA Tour wins
Miss State: N/A
Missouri: N/A
South Carolina: Wesley Bryan; 1 PGA Tour win
Texas A&M: Bobby Nichols; 1 major title, 12 PGA Tour wins
Vanderbilt: Brandt Snedeker; 9 PGA Tour wins
It's Cary Middlecoff in a landslide for current SEC members.

Hard to believe Daly is only 32.

It's literally the DAY SEC football fires back up and we're talking about Golf?
Did you take a vacation the WHOLE summer?

I'm not sure he played for their golf team, though. The SEC also didn't exist when Jones was at Georgia Tech. He finished at Tech in 1922. The SEC was founded in 1932.

In the modern era...
Daly is the most legendary.
Thomas has the highest ceiling but has to stop getting in his own way on the weekend. That will change with time, though, and he'll win plenty of majors.
Watson has the best trophy (jacket) case but can be very inconsistent. Probably has 1 or 2 more major wins in his tank IMO.
Snedeker showed a ton of promise years ago, but it just hasn't materialized for him.
Horschel is good but doesn't have any real big wins and his emotions get the best of him.
If we're going to eventually count Texas, then guys like Crenshaw and Spieth have to be considered.
I would say that right now, Thomas is currently the best SEC golfer on tour.
I wish Dustin Johnson had gone to South Carolina, but I can't blame him for choosing Coastal.
Sorry for typing line-by-line. I know it's annoying to read.

more competition at the top than ever before. The number of different guys that have been #1 in the world since Thomas turned pro in 2013 is crazy. It includes Adam Scott, Rory, Speith, DJ, Jason Day, Rahm, Thomas, Rose, and Koepka. Rory hasn't won a major since 2014. DJ finally won his second major last year. Speith hasn't won a major since 2017. It's just really hard to win a major now.
