Most difficult position in sports. Defense is constantly moving pre and post snap to confuse you. A great OC helps you out with motions / shifts/ formations/ personnel groupings that dictate a certain coverage. This makes for an easy read. A bad OC send you to the line with a play call , leaving the rest to you. Even if you make the correct read, you have 2 seconds to put he ball in a 2 by 2 window (to an open receiver) or 3 inch by 3 inch spot to a receiver who hopefully is the only person that can catch it. All of this while 4 or more guys are trying to kill you

Agreed which is why I’m glad Kiffin makes it simple for the qb but complex for the D at times. You have the guy your going to and if he’s covered then check down to a RB or another WR both running short routes to get a few yards. If that’s not there then take off. He makes it easy for his QBs to read it quick. It seems simple in words but look at Leach and timing routes instead of reading the D. Going as fast as this offense goes helps tremendously as well being able to see the D prior to the snap when they aren’t able to shift or throw in different blitz looks.

I think he's a good QB and will be fine. As others have noted, this was a good learning experience for him.
