So Wisconsin, Penn State, Ohio State, TCU, Miami, and Georgia all have one quality win between them.

All of those teams, save for PSU, have something in common that they do not share with Bama...they're all playing this weekend and have a chance to add to their resume.

bama did not win its division, let alone its conference. When it had the chance to make a statement win, it lost, convincingly. Wis, OK, and Clemson can win their conferences. Either AU or UGA will win the SEC. Connect the dots.

At least win your conference championship.
Saban already decided that doesn't count this year. We'll start it back when Bama wins the conference.

It’s astonishing that this line of thinking has any credibility

It was your own genius coach that came up with it. Why is it suddenly irrelevant?

Maybe I'm giving the OP too much credit, but I feel like he's assuming Ohio St beats Wisconsin. No sane person thinks Alabama is in if Oklahoma and Wisconsin win tomorrow.

Well 30 hours from now all of them will have at least 1 loss notably worse than Bama’s

You're right. Last year a one loss team that didn't win their division or conference got in over a two loss team that beat them and won that same division and conference.

Really now? Last I checked this was discussed extensively for the BCSNCG in 3 season prior to Saban being hired at bama

And the committee won’t even have to put the non-conference champ over the 2 loss conference champ this year

You're assuming OSU beats Wisconsin, and while I admit that's a fair assumption to make, that isn't what the OP is talking about.

quote:

We haven’t beat anyone superb, but we have beat some quality teams, and the game we lost was to a very physical, well coached team. I don’t see how anyone could say we don’t belong in the playoffs with the way the season has gone, and with all that talent on our team. I think we easily get in. Final 4 here we come. Buckle up.

...So OP is saying he doesn't see how anyone could make an argument for Bama to be left out...if UW and OU win Bama should absolutely be left out. If OSU wins there is some space for debate. Not a ton but some space.

I would die before I would cheer for Bama to win anything

But I do respect what they have accomplished. Immensely
