Meh, we've beaten the dog shite out of multiple 8-3 Auburn teams that came to Tuscaloosa and would have been 9-3 and in the Top 10 going to NY6 bowls with wins in those games against Alabama.
2014 - 8-3, ranked #15 (lost by 11) (then lost bowl game)
2016 - 8-3, ranked #13 (lost by 18) (then lost bowl game)
Our problem is good teams in Auburn, and just playing in Auburn in general relative to the strengths of the team. Jordan Hare is worth 10 points over the last decade when you look at results of those games.

2016 is one of the greatest Alabama defenses I've ever seen. They gave up 17 points and 243 yards in the 1st half in Oxford and the offense gave up another 7.
I get what you're saying, but that was a very strange and horribly officiated game. Bama also had a true freshman Jalen Hurts in his first road start who couldn't throw the ball, and kept putting the defense back on the field.

A&M - better focus on keeping it within 4 touchdowns first.

And go back one more year, and they choked to a horrible Tennessee team at home.
THAT should've been the last game Gus coached at Auburn.
It's where he lost me at least.

Exactly - and this year we have a young QB, new WRs and a new OC. So, that's the path to a loss. They have an ugly half or multiple ugly possessions and/or turnovers that put us in a hole.
Again, I'm not saying it's going to happen, but I definitely see that as the mostly likely way a game we lose plays out.

A&M, Ga. and Florida if we get that far and see them for the SEC title.
Non SEC schools. Whoever makes the playoff if we make it that far as well.
Our D should be solid, we will take a few steps back on the offensive side of the ball.

Auburn has only lost 1 home game in the last 2 years...
2020 L to aTm (20-31) in JHS

Not saying it attributed to the defensive play, but would very much suggest going back and watching to see how many flags were thrown. It was excessive.

The Bama offense has turned into a well oiled machine these past few years, so I guess I'm just not worried about it. Especially given the amount of talent surrounding what was the #1 QB recruit in the country, and the running game he'll have to lean on if necessary.

Yea I mean I'm not saying "this is gonna happen", I just think if we are to lose a game that's kind of how it will play out.I think A&M is probably our best shot at a loss with a few others being wild cards if their teams are better than expected (LSU, Auburn) like has happened in past years at times.
Or we just beat the shite out of everyone again.

Gus made that garbage UT QB look like a Heisman finalist that day. No wonder you guys were happy to see him go.

Like every other Auburn success, I hope to hear about that particular one for many years to come, because it only means you haven't done shite since.

That was the week after a bad loss to Miss State as well. Had he lost to Ole Miss & A&M the following weeks I think he'd have been gone. Unfortunately he was coaching with the brand new extension too.

how many times have they beat Bama in the last 10-12 years?
