Of course you hate it, that's the reason you guys won the 2011 natty. Because apparently our regular season didn't matter. We should've played like OK state or some bullshite team and went home with that but..... les started JJ and we got fricked

less solid criteria than the committee uses

How do you know that? We don't have a clue what the committee looks at. At least the BCS was comprehensive, and it took into account human rankings as well as computer analysis.

How do you know it's not?

Committee is pretty clearly based on resume. The human polls used by the BCS were made up of gut feelings in the preseason, how late you lost, etc.

Such a great system

Just sounds like you're bitter about 2004 and ignoring the success and reliability of the BCS once it received a makeover.

I'm not bitter about 2004 at all. Do I think we should've played? Sure but I'm over it. That was a long time ago. Who cares?

It was all about the timing of when you lost. If you lose, we'll move you down 5 or so spots just for the hell of it. Never mind if you're a better team or if you've beat better teams because hey you lost late. Too bad. Way too heavily based on preseason rankings when nobody knows shi about these teams.

There's no way you can make any sense of that logic.

Give me a time when the committee was wrong putting somebody in the playoffs

Double elimination with a 4 team playoff. So same as it is now but if a 1 loss team beats an undefeated team they should have to play another game to determine the champion. I like the 4 team playoff but I think a team should be rewarded for going undefeated. Iron Bowl didn't really matter, if Bama would have lost they would still end up being #1. The fans care but as it is now everyone gets a 1 loss free B.

Make the whole season a triple elimination tournament and teams eliminated schedule games as they please

8 team: P5 conf champs + 3 wild cards. Home field advantage for higher seeds in at least the first round. Neutral/possibly home field for semifinals. Neutral field obviously for championship
