Arkansas. There's simply nothing else in the state.

LSU is second. There are plenty of people here who are far, far more interested in the Saints.

Arkansas, easily.

A&M barely registers as a blip in the Lone Star State

it is not LSU. People up north that are cowboys fans could care less about LSU. There are people in Nola that are saints fans and not LSU fans. Dont even get me started on the laffy people who despise LSU.

our relationship is probably similar to tamu and UT but on a much smaller scale. They blame us for everything.

Matter of fact, SCAR not only means the most to their state, but to their entire region.

Agreed. USC is the anchor of the NC-SC-GA region and beyond.

April 1861 baby ... fired the first shots. No one else in the region had the balls enough to get-er done and get some stuff settled one way or the other.

We Cock Rock this region.

LSU fans were non-existent in the 1990s when they were terrible. So, no.

It's the ultimate little brother complex. When it rains on ULL's campus they assume it's the "LSU elitists" pissing on them.

That's just one chapter.

1929: Great Depression

1933: Highest US unemployment. Literally billions not working. Hitler takes power in Germany.

1934: USC builds WB causing national unemployment to fall. Hitler sees this and is threatened by SC's model and athletic prowess, begins militarization, public works and nazi youth to groom athletes capable of competing with the Gamecocks.

1936: Jesse Owens wins 29 Gold medals at Berlin Olympics. Rustles Hitlers jimmies by flashing him the spur instead of saluting.

1939: The war of Polish Aggression begins.

1942: Germans bomb Pearl Harbor.

1944: USC graduate Claus von Stauffenberg infiltrates German Army and attempts to kill Hitler with bomb but is thwarted by SS Grupenfuhrer and Clemson graduate Strom Thurmond who dove on the bomb, absorbed the blast and was confined to a wheelchair.

1945: Clemson graduate and Japanese sympathizer James F Byrnes assassinates FDR and attempts coup. USC graduates squash the putsch and install Missorian and idiot savant Harry Truman as president. Bombs over Baghdad. War ends.

Gamecocks once again save the nation and the world but being humble to a fault they quietly recede into 1950s bliss and the true story was lost to history.

It's sad because we're the most mediocre football program in the SEC. If we ever actually had success we'd reach Bama levels of crazy.

How dare you try to take the "Most Mediocre" title away from Ole Miss? How dare you?

And I disagree with the board here. Alabama may be a divided state, but the state's very identity seems to revolve around success in college football, whether one is an Alabama fan or an Auburn fan.

You could pretty much say the same thing about Kentucky and its two basketball programs.

Can you even imagine an Alabama without football or a Kentucky without basketball?
