I think it's Auburn or South Carolina.

Arkansas. Simply an embarrassment.

This year, it's LSU unfortunately. Back in the mix by 2012.

You mean the worst TEAM or the worst PROGRAM?
South Carolina just built a beautiful new facility, if that counts.
But I don't think any SEC school has ever managed to be consistently good over a long period of time in basketball, except, of course, Big Blue.
Short spurts of success at some, but no consistency......

Right now LSU has a legitimate claim.
Next year however, is a different story. Most fans who follow LSU basketball knew this was going to be a throw away year.

I'm talking Program. The worst team is a crapshoot. I thought 2010 UGA would be the worst team, but it's apparent that with a few close upsets and a win over Illiois & Georgia Tech, we aren't the worst team this year, nor do I think we are the worst program overall.
How many NCAA appearances does each team have?

Nice sig. You do realize Alabama has 2 crystal footballs as well, right? That trophy's been given out since 1986. But nice try.

As a program, shouldn't georgia be considered as one of the worst, if not the worst?

That's what I'm asking who is the worst overall program. UGA has a final four appearance, something Tennessee cant claim if that means anything.

Wow, when you think about it, there's a lot of competition for that 'honor'.
My bet's on my alma mater. We lost at home to South Carolina by double digits just last Saturday.

South Carolina.
1) We've beaten Auburn at least 3 straight years and won our last 4 games @ Auburn. So we've got a better program than them
2) We're what 8-8 since the '01 season vs UGA? including sweeping the bulldogs last year? So wherever you put UGA.. SC is tied with them at the worst
and if you're putting UGAs basketball program ahead of UTs because of one ancient final four appearance that is just crazy. Historically they might have a better one but UGAs program now is about as bad as it gets in the SEC. It's where SC was in Odom's last couple of years.

I don't know, but it would not surprise me if Ole Miss has the fewest and the worst overall record over the whole of SEC history.
Our basketball program is a lot better than it used to be and has had its moments in the last 25 years or so, but prior to that, it was pretty damn awful most of the time.....
Of course, way back when, only conference champions made the tournament, so most SEC schools had very few tourney appearances since Kentucky won the conference championship practically every year for decades.....
