Manziel being picked that high (the Browns traded up) reinforced his self-assurance that the way he played in college would work in the pros unfortunately. He needed to stop bailing from pockets so soon and trying to keep plays alive to the bitter end

88 tackles his first season and was on the all that rookie team. His knee injury happen the next year and he was never the same. He wasn't as awful as you make it seem. He still had over 50 tackles ...the next two seasons. But that injury really plagued him
