We have the same playbook; we have a 5th year senior QB who spent 4 1/2 years under Bobby; and we have Bobby's brother as our OC. Petrino was a great offensive coach, but it's not rocket science that only he can execute.

As good as Paul is he's not nearly as good as Bobby

Play calling on offense was why we were so dominant. Not talent

While I agree play calling is a big factor, your statement is ridiculous. If it was only play calling, why did we suck in 2008 and were average in 2009? If you really believe Bobby Petrino is the end all be all of coaches, then you may as well follow him to his next stop and give up on being a Razorback fan b/c he's not coming back.

I should've phrased that better. Talent definitely makes a difference

We weren't good in 2008 because Nutt left us ridiculously dry in terms of talent. 2009 was better but we still weren't that good talent wise

And by the way, I hate Petrino. I think he was one of the best coaches we've ever had but in no way would I want to follow him to his next stop. I love the Razorbacks and put the team over any coach

Alabama is still going to beat the shite out of us again, and I honestly don't think they're nervous about that game all. They might have been a bit before Petrino left, but definitely not now

^^That's pretty much how I feel about that game.

Y'all took a hit losing Bobby. Now you've got a new OC (P.Petrino), and a new DC (P. Haynes), along with a new HC (JMFLS) this would be tough for any team.

I figured out why I hate this.

I hate rehashing why we aren't going to be good this season. It pisses me off because its true.

I plan on following him to his next stop to be my second favorite team.

However, I was a fan of the Petrino offense way before he came to Arkansas. I caught as many Louisville games as I could while he was there because his offense was already by far my favorite in CFB.

I never miss one of his games or Boise's. I caught a couple UVA games last season and really like what Bill Lazor has going on with his offense out there so I may add them to the rotation this season as well.

I respect his offensive coaching abilities and his offenses are fun to watch, but I will never cheer for that mother fricker or say that his team is one of my favorites.

This is disrespectful to our team and coaching staff that has been working toward this season for the last 4 years. You think losing one man who had his head up his arse is going to send the whole team down the gutter? Ye of little faith...

Hey, don't get down on your team. Arky is going to be good, I just don't think they'll make it to ATL under your current coaching staff.

Now, if BP had used better judgement and not fricked up the whole dang program, I think y'all would be contenders.

Now as it stands, the head hawg is gone, plus you new coordinators on both sides of the ball. A lot of ??'s

So it's disrespectful to be truthful?

It's not going to send the whole team down the gutter, but there's little to no chance of us being an elite team in 2012. I fully believe in Jeff Long to make a great hire, but that hire isn't going to come until after the 2012 season

I don't think that's where Bob's head was, do you?

Just kidding.

at least after halftime. someone has to take the blame for the consistent first half duds the past few years, and i think the buck solely stops with bobby.

bama will probably beat us yet again, but it wont be because of the "new coaches." Haynes has already called the D in the Cotton Bowl and the other two have had some seasons on the team already. System shock wont be why we dip, itll be whatever little xtra we got from bobby.

Meh, Paul was the OC not too long ago. Now if he can step it up and make great play calls (I don't expect them to be as good as Bobby's calls) then he has the chance an amazing OC. Even at Illinois he improved their offense a ton and I'm pretty sure they had the #1 offense in the Big 10 at least one year

And Haynes is almost guaranteed to be better than Willy. You'd be hard pressed to find a worse DC

How do you know it's truthful? We won't know until the season is played out. He made a prediction, not a statement of fact.

Most preseason publications have us top 10 still, and Vegas gives us the 8th best odds to win the NC, which would be even better if we weren't in the same division as Bama and LSU.

Because we lose the main reason our offense has been dominant? And yes I know you can never really state anything as fact until the season is played out but some things are pretty obvious

Ham, where'd you move to? I hope not too far away. Your practice reports are the best.
