Anyone playing defense line for LSU or Bama? Clowney was just not that very impressive, he was about an average SEC linemen.

Mosley could "play" better, but no one is more talented than Clowney.

That said Mosley is gonna win the Butkus and be a two time consensus All American.

I really want to see Clowney play like he's studied film and knows his playbook. If this happened I think he would actually kill someone because right now he's playing on pure talent

Depends on what you think is better. I don't know if anyone will have more TFL's or Sacks than Clowney. However, if you look at Total Tackles, I'm sure there will be many people.

Measuring things like a players impact on a game are very subjective, but I think that Clowney will lead USC to win at least a couple games this year, just from the plays he makes.

Good example would be the Outback Bowl. We got a bad call on a blatant 4th and short, then Clowney destroyed Vincent Smith, caused a fumble and recovered. A couple plays later we were in the endzone for the last score of the game, which we needed to win.

I heard a story where Spurrier saw Clowney sitting on the bench during a game and asked the coach why. The coach responded with he didnt know the plays. Spurrier being Spurrier said who cares put'em on the field

Clowney can disappear during games and he can be beat. I think this results from the fact that he relies on his physical abilities rather. I dont think he's playig to his full potential right now

you're high if you think any single player could have more of an impact on any single play than clowney. He is always right there in the back of the QB's mind, every time he drops back.

I don't pretend to be a coach or anything, but defensive end is not heavily schematic intensive.

Again, 4/10.

Since Teo's fall off, Mosley would've been the top ILB in this year's draft, and he was a unanimous AA. He's easily the second best defensive player in the SEC in 2013, but I'm sure someone like Freak or Loston is better, right?

Lol. All of you that said anyone besides Clowney are either high or just plain delusional. Yes, Clowney doesn't make an impact every single play of the game, but all it takes is one and he does that with consistency. Ask Georgia if Clowney didn't impact our game last year. Ask Tennessee if Clowney didn't impact that game. Ask Clemson. Ask Michigan.

Only game I saw him having a subpar game was LSU but it was by no means a no-show performance...it just wasn't up to the Clowney standards we are accustomed to. You can't beat double and triple teams every play.

The correct answer to the dumb thread is NOBODY.
