No, he's right.

Both have a snake for a coach that will gladly leave for something better.

I've heard the fan base is simillar and in Conference play LSU and Nebraska always seem to be the underdoq no matter how tallented the team.
Think LSU vs. Alabama/Florida and Nebraska vs. OU/Texas. And we both have NC potential

when they were on their amazing run Nebraska could fill the entire Rose Bowl for a game... not sure that LSU can say the same thing for a distant venue

In terms of manners Nebraska fans are some of the most polite fans ever in my experience... LSU fans like the rest of the SEC (excepting Vandy) do not share this trait on game day

The in state recruiting is tons different with LSU having a substantial edge.

There were tons of fans at our first game in Washington state last year.

Do you not remember the crazy demand for Rose Bowl tickets in 06 when it looked like we were going there?

LSU travels well... at their peak the ability of Nebraska fans to travel was legendary

The Alabama/Oklahoma comparison is the best one. For LSU, Penn State is not a bad comparison.

During the Bryant years... and now... there's nobody like Alabama. For better or worse, whenther we lose or win, the "program" is bigger than anyone in it.

Alabama is nothing special right now and nowhere near the program it was during the peak Bryant years.

You were nothing but a good team last year that got a lot of breaks in a relatively down year in the conference and in the country as a whole.

And Saban will be gone within 3 years--book it.....

You're right about one thing. NO team has ever been anywhere near the team the Crimson Tide was during the peak Bryant years.

Ole Miss- Good tradition in the 60's. Has a good year every now and then.

Texas Tech- Usually a .500 team in conference. Makes a good run every 4 years or so.
