Final score was 26-24
A&M was not going to win that game and even if they did they were not going to play for a National Championship

I would have liked it if Coach Bryant had beat Notre Dame at least once while he was a coach. He never could seem to get that done.

Mizzou has really 2 in modern times
2007 Big 12 Championship Game vs OU-Ranked #1 in BCS tied at half and then choke up the 2nd half. Win puts Mizzou in Championship Game.
2013 SEC Championship Game vs Auburn-Win gives Mizzou a birth to play FSU for Natty. The team was good enough the defensive game plan was the worst I have ever seen.
Old Timers
1960 vs kU while the game is officially a victory because kU was forced to forfeit later (though warned by the Big 8 used an ineligible player) the loss on the field cost Mizzou a National Title.

You have serious reading comprehension problems.
FG gets missed = A&M wins 24-23.
A&M was 5th at the time in the BCS. Ahead of them were:
1. Kansas State
2. Tennessee
3. UCLA
4. Florida State
The following week, UCLA lost to Miami and Kansas State lost to A&M.
Had Tennessee then lost to Mississippi State...

The 2009 National Championship broke Mack Brown and may have broken t.u. football.
Since then, they have lost no fewer than 4 games each season, won no conference titles, had 3 losing seasons, are on their 3rd AD, 2nd University President, and are about to be on their 3rd coach.

2013 GSU
I was there. Hail Southern! Also UF was much nicer to me as a Georgia Southern fan than it was as an LSU fan...
For me, 2012 Bama game. Hurt more than the title game.

???
2010 iron bowl, kick 6, loss to Ohio State, etc
there are plenty of games. Not to mention the 90s

Come on man, lets give them a little credit. They're up to 1963 at this point.
