Kelly's personality will never work in the SEC, ESPECIALLY up against SPURRIER and HIS EGO

How about Urban Meyer? He only went 3-3 against LSU Pretty sure the only Florida coach with a winning record against LSU was Spurrier.

I might be in the minority of non-UF fans that hopes Florida gets Chip. It's better for the league to have better competition. Hopefully chip gets a solid defensive coordinator to go with the offense that Florida has been needing since Urban left.

Oh you mean the guy that was WINLESS against Auburn?!?!

I get your point and it is correct, but the coach we fired also beat your D line coach. Also at home.

Do you really think Kelly has learned that teams are supposed to play defense as well?
LOL...no
Defense actually did pretty well at Oregon...if you include the fact that TOP indicates far more defensive possessions for Oregon. Not bad at all actually. His 2010 defense was 14th in scoring inspite of being 104th in TOP. I'll take the top offense in the nation, and 14th best defense any day.

1) It’s altar.
2) These things take time when you go after something other than your DL coach.

LOL @ YOU.
Ed O was their first choice obviously.
Guy had an amazing resume after all as a head coach.

And that same DL coach, who lost to Troy, beat which SEC east rival team right afterward? Which team was that, TJGator?

So you'll take his best defense he ever fielded and the best offense in the country. Well no shite You saw what happened to his offenses when he played SEC teams, though, that controlled the clock and wore them down. Their offense was not putting up the numbers like they did in the Pac 10. He's going to have to recruit a different type of athlete if he wants to consistently beat upper tier teams in this conference. He can't just have a bunch of skat backs that are fast lined up at running back.

He had far less talent at Oregon, than LSU or Auburn has.
Go to the NFL. His offense was top ten two of his three years in Philly. With zero quality QB's running the offense. Pretty sure if he can do it in the NFL, SEC isn't too scary. Add in pretty sure he put 60 on Tenn. 450 yards on Auburn but turnovers weren't his friend in that or the LSU game.
His defenses were never awful. You aren't going to field a top ten defense when you run such a quick play offense. Just too many possessions for the other team to get opportunities.
Will be nice to see what he does in College when he has SEC players, not Pac-12 players. His average recruit ranking would have finished ninth in the SEC in his years at Oregon. At Florida, he will have equal talent.
Funny. What was Ed O's record at Ole Miss again?
Yea...I'll take Chip any day. As would anyone not in the LSU fan base.

That thing is so loose..I'm pretty sure it would just get lost forever.

A win is a win but that win over Florida isn't anything to gloat about. This year's Florida team isn't much better than top flight high school teams and you were honestly lucky to get out of there with a win.

I doubt it will happen. This just reeks of the infamous "done deal" thread.

What's Ron Zook doing these days? I know he was a hot commodity in 2002 and all schools looking to hire coaches were begging to hire him.
Wait. No,he wasn't nor were they. Carry on.
